At first, I thought he was talking about revenue. Instead, he explained that he wasn't chasing retirement based on age. He was building toward a freedom number -- the annual income that would allow him to live the life he wanted, serve the people he cared about, and make decisions from purpose instead of pressure.
That conversation shifted everything for me.
We're constantly told to chase six figures, seven figures, or even eight figures. But those numbers don't matter if they're not your numbers. The question isn't how much someone else is making.
The real question is: "What is your Freedom Number?"

One of the biggest misconceptions about building additional income is that you have to leave your career and become a full-time entrepreneur. YOU DON'T!
In fact, many of the women who will benefit most from this workshop love what they do. They enjoy their careers, value the organizations they serve, and have no desire to walk away from them.
This workshop isn't about replacing your career. It's about expanding your opportunities.
You already have knowledge, experience, and expertise that can solve problems for businesses, nonprofits, entrepreneurs, and individuals. The question is: How can you package that expertise in a way that serves others while creating additional income on your own terms?

WHY I'M TEACHING THIS
In 2019, I knew my position was coming to an end. The program I had spent years helping build was being discontinued. I had advance notice that my career was about to change.
What I didn't have was another stream of income.
Looking back, I wish someone had challenged me to think differently.
I wish someone had said, "Renee, don't wait until your job ends to discover the value of what you know."
I had years of experience in leadership, workforce development, communications, organizational strategy, coaching, and relationship building. I had knowledge that organizations needed. I had skills that solved real problems.
But I had never packaged them in a way that could generate income outside of my paycheck.
Had I done that while I was still employed, I would have entered that transition with confidence instead of uncertainty. I wouldn't have been wondering where my next opportunity would come from because I would have already been creating opportunities of my own.
That's why this message matters so much to me.

Recent reports have shown significant job losses affecting Black women in corporate America.
